PCMech launched way back in 1997, making it one of the longest running websites on the web. PCMech got its start explaining computer hardware in a plain-English way. It then expanded into the arena of building computers. Having survived the dot-com bust and moving into the age of blogging, PCMech converted into an actual blog, brought on additional writers, and kept on covering the changing scene.
